Rug Texture 1: Loop Pile

Loop pile rugs by created by constructing yarn into loops that are left uncut on the surface of the rug. This creates a textured appearance with loops of yarn that can vary in height and thickness, depending on the style and design of the rug. Loop pile rugs are known for their durability and resistance to crushing, making them suitable for high-traffic areas in the home.

Rug Texture 2: Cut Pile

Cut pile rugs are characterized by their construction where the fibers are evenly cut to create a soft and smooth surface. Cut pile rugs offer a plush and velvety texture that is comfortable underfoot and visually appealing.

Rug Texture 3: 

Cut + Loop Pile

Flatweave rugs, also known as kilims and dhurries, are woven on a loom rather than knotted, resulting in a flat surface without pile. Our flatweave rugs are made from organic cotton or organic wool, making them super durable.

Knotted Loop with Cut Pile

A loop with shag pile rug texture is a unique combination that blends characteristics of both loop pile and shag pile constructions. This type of rug texture features loops of yarn that are interspersed with longer, shaggy strands, creating a varied and textured surface that offers both visual interest and a plush feel underfoot. The high/low texture adds dimension to the rug.

Knotted High/Low Cut Pile

High-low cut pile rugs are characterized by their construction where different parts of the rug pile are cut at varying heights. This creates a textured surface with areas that appear higher (high pile) and lower (low pile) than others, resulting in a sculpted effect. Boucle Flatweave

Bouclé texture refers to a distinctive type of surface texture characterized by looped fibers that are woven into the rug. The term "bouclé" originates from the French word for "buckled" or "curled," which aptly describes the appearance of the loops in this type of texture.

Bouclé rugs are crafted using loops of yarn that are intentionally left uncut, creating a continuous looped surface across the rug. These loops vary in size and tightness, influencing the overall look and feel of the rug.
